CATALONIA AT MIT

Visit Catalonia

There is plenty to visit in Catalonia, not only in Barcelona! We are proud to be next to the sea and next to he mountains at the same time.

Gaudí - Barcelona

Barcelona would not be Barcelona without the modernist arquitect Antoni Gaudí. Most of your visit there will consist of their masterpieces: La Pedrera, La Casa Batlló, Parc Guell or the Sagrada Família.

FC Barcelona - Barcelona

Soccer is the king sport in Catalonia and FC Barcelona is on the DNA of many Catalans. Don't miss a visit to the Camp Nou, and if there is a match, don't lose the chance to root for Barça!

Eixample - Barcelona

If Antoni Gaudí envisioned the greatest buildings of Barcelona, Ildefons Cerdá designed the city itself. While many American cities are organized in a cuadricular grid, this is not the case in Europe. The city center is composed by hundreds of square blocks with chamfered corners, each 133.3 m per side. Out of the many streets that compose l'Eixample, Passeig de Gràcia is the most centric, hosting the main brands and turistic places of the city.

Costa Brava - Girona

If you like the beach, the Mediterranean sea is a perfect spot for you. Catalonia has hundreds of quilometers of sealine, and in the North East there is the Costa Brava, which means Wild Coast. In that region, instead of big beaches we have small

Montserrat - Olesa de Montserrat

If Montserrat was in the USA, it would be a highly visited National Park. It is a unique mountain formation that hosts one of the religious emblems of Catalonia, La Moreneta.

Pirineus - Lleida

One of the attractiveness of living in Catalonia is to be close to the sea and close to the mountains at the same time. If you like hiking, nature and outdoors, you can spend some days in the Pirinees. A highly recomended, one-day hike is to climb Pedra Forca. The mountain's rare form, along with the fact that it is not visibly connected to any other adjacent mountains or ridges, has made it one of the most famous and emblematic mountains in Catalonia.
